First Five Years: Institute for Circumpolar Health Research (ICHR)

This week northerners celebrated a regional milestone: the five year anniversary of the Yellowknife-based Institute for Circumpolar Health Research (ICHR), lead by Susan Chatwood, Executive and Scientific Director and a dedicated board. with staff and  many community, professional and academic partners with a shared commitment to a healthier North. Starting five years ago as one of three partners in the pan-territorial Arctic Health Research Network (AHRN), over the past few years, the ICHR has evolved into 'the little Institute that could', successfully securing, managing and facilitating many collaborative projects with a focus on building local capacity and strengthening the health of northern populations and communities through collaborative research and outreach.. Congratulations, ICHR! Best wishes for many more years of excellent partnerships and productive work ahead!....
